Reinforcing its commitment to women empowerment and community-driven policing, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate hosted the Mission Shakti Samman Samaroh 2026 on April 9 at its Sector-110 headquarters in Noida. The event marked a significant milestone under the fifth phase of Mission Shakti, aimed at fostering a safer, more inclusive, and women-friendly ecosystem across the state.
The Chief Guest was DIG Rajeev Narain Mishra, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), who addressed the gathering, emphasizing that women empowerment must go beyond symbolic recognition, calling for sustained efforts in education, safety, employment opportunities, and trust-building between citizens and law enforcement agencies. He highlighted the police department’s proactive initiatives, including community outreach, awareness drives, and responsive safety mechanisms.
Among the distinguished honourees were Prof. Dr. Shivangi Sharma from the School of Law and Prof. Dr. Kumar Ashutosh from the School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University. They were felicitated for their exemplary contribution to mediation and the peaceful resolution of family disputes, reflecting the growing role of academia in strengthening social harmony.
The Samaroh also celebrated women achievers from diverse sectors such as banking, manufacturing, sports, media, and social work. Each awardee was recognised not only for professional excellence but also for actively contributing to initiatives that promote safety, inclusivity, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
Highlighting key interventions, Ms. Anukriti Sharma, DCP Women Safety, elaborated on the Commissionerate’s citizen-centric approach. She underscored impactful initiatives under Naari Shakti, particularly the establishment of Pink Booths, which have enhanced accessibility, responsiveness, and public confidence among women across the district.
The event stood as a testament to the power of collaborative governance—bringing together law enforcement, educational institutions, professionals, and civil society to drive meaningful change. The Mission Shakti Samman Samaroh 2026 not only honoured changemakers but also served as a catalyst for sustained community engagement in building a secure and equitable society.
The ceremony concluded in the presence of senior police officials, academicians, social leaders, and media representatives, reaffirming a shared vision for a safer and more inclusive future.
