2nd Cambridge U19 Inter-School Cricket Tournament Begins with Competitive Opening Matches

The 2nd Cambridge U19 Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2026 began at Cambridge School, Greater Noida, with Cambridge School Greater Noida and Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida registering wins on the opening day.

The 2nd Cambridge U19 Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2026 got underway at Cambridge School, Greater Noida, with two matches marking the opening day of the competition.

The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of Cambridge School Greater Noida Principal Ms Priti Sirohi, Headmistress Rashmi Bhardwaj, and SAE Sports Executive Kushank Rustagi.

Cambridge School Greater Noida Opens Campaign with Victory

The opening match saw Cambridge School Greater Noida take on Vivekanand School.

Batting first, Vivekanand School were bowled out for 90 runs, with Dev Malik emerging as their leading scorer with 24 runs.

Cambridge School Greater Noida bowlers Shivam Kumar and Agastya Shukla played a crucial role in restricting the opposition, picking up three wickets each.

Chasing a target of 91, Cambridge School Greater Noida reached the required total with two wickets remaining. Agastya Shukla stayed unbeaten on 17 and helped his side complete the chase.

Shivam Kumar was named Man of the Match for his three-wicket performance.

Bharat Ram Global School Wins Second Opening-Day Match

The second match of the opening day featured Cambridge School Srinivaspuri against Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida.

Batting first, Cambridge School Srinivaspuri scored 142 runs. Shiven Bidhuri led the innings with 53 runs, while Ryan Kohli contributed 33. For Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida, Jatin Bhati picked up two wickets.

Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida successfully chased the target, with Ankit Singh anchoring the innings with 43 runs and Dhruv Mavi contributing 29.

Prithvi took two wickets for Cambridge School Srinivaspuri, but Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida managed to complete the chase.

Ankit Singh was named Man of the Match for his 43-run innings.

Aggressive Cricket Marks Day 2

The second day of the tournament witnessed a more aggressive display of cricket, with both matches turning into largely one-sided contests as teams registered convincing victories.

In the first match of Day 2, Khaitan Public School, Ghaziabad posted 111 runs in 20 overs. Siddharth Chauhan led the scoring effort with 38 runs.

In response, Oxford Green Public School, Greater Noida chased down the target in just 11.4 overs, scoring 112 runs.

Aditya Bhati delivered an impressive all-round performance, remaining unbeaten on 66 runs and also claiming three wickets. His contribution earned him the Man of the Match award.

For Khaitan Public School, Mayank also picked up three wickets.

Greenfields Public School Dominates Sanskriti School

The second match of Day 2 saw Greenfields Public School, Vivek Vihar produce a dominant performance against Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri.

Batting first, Greenfields Public School posted an imposing 195 runs, with Mayank Chaudhary scoring 74 and Tejas Singh adding 67 runs.

Sanskriti School struggled in the chase and were bowled out for just 43 runs.

Zayan Khan starred with the ball for Greenfields Public School, claiming an impressive five-wicket haul.

Mayank Chaudhary was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding 74-run innings.

Commenting on the Day 2 proceedings, Kushank Rustagi, Sports Executive, SAE, said, “Today was a day of aggressive cricket display, with teams both chasing and defending their targets convincingly, making both matches a one-sided affair.”

With Cambridge School Greater Noida and Bharat Ram Global School Greater Noida registering victories on the opening day, followed by commanding performances from Oxford Green Public School and Greenfields Public School on Day 2, the tournament is gathering momentum.

More matches will follow as the participating schools continue their campaigns through the next stages of the 2nd Cambridge U-19 Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2026.
