Gurugram, August 4, 2026: Bharti Airtel Limited reported a 35.5% year-on-year increase in consolidated net income before exceptional items to ₹8,057 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹5,948 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company’s consolidated revenue increased 18.4% year-on-year and 5.7% sequentially to ₹58,539 crore, driven by sustained growth across its India and Africa operations.
Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDA, stood at ₹33,599 crore, registering a 19.3% year-on-year increase. The EBITDA margin was recorded at 57.4%. Consolidated EBIT grew 23.4% year-on-year to ₹19,282 crore, while profit before tax increased 34.5% to ₹14,126 crore.
India Revenue Grows 9.7%
Airtel’s India business generated revenue of ₹41,214 crore during the quarter, marking growth of 9.7% year-on-year and 4.2% quarter-on-quarter.
India EBITDA stood at ₹24,781 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 60.1%. EBITDA after lease expenses was ₹22,788 crore, translating into an EBITDAaL margin of 55.3%.
The India mobile business recorded revenue growth of 9.2% year-on-year, supported by customer additions, portfolio premiumisation and an improvement in average revenue per user.
Mobile ARPU increased to ₹264 in Q1 FY27 from ₹250 in Q1 FY26, further strengthening Airtel’s position in the premium telecom segment.
The company recorded its highest-ever quarterly postpaid net additions of one million customers, taking its total postpaid customer base to 30 million.

Homes Business Revenue Surges 33.2%
Airtel’s Homes business continued its strong growth trajectory, reporting a 33.2% year-on-year increase in revenue.
The company added 473,000 customers during the quarter, taking its total Homes customer base to 14.7 million. On a year-on-year basis, the segment registered net customer additions of 3.7 million.
The growth was supported by Airtel’s focus on acquiring quality customers, expanding its broadband footprint and integrating broadband, mobile and entertainment services through its convergence strategy.
Airtel Business recorded revenue growth of 12% year-on-year, driven by the execution of its order book, growth in connectivity services and strong demand for digital solutions.
During the quarter, the company launched Airtel Secure Workforce, a fully managed Zero Trust Architecture security platform designed to provide enterprises with an integrated and compliance-ready cybersecurity framework.
Digital TV revenue increased 1.4% year-on-year to ₹773 crore. The business served 16 million customers, while the continued expansion of IPTV services supported Airtel’s convergence agenda.
Africa Business Reports Strong Growth
Airtel Africa ended the quarter with 189 million customers and recorded revenue growth of 21.1% year-on-year in constant currency terms.
During the quarter, Bharti Airtel completed an earnings-per-share-accretive share-swap transaction that increased its stake in Airtel Africa Plc to more than 79%.
The company said the transaction reflected its confidence in Africa’s long-term growth prospects and its strategy of expanding in high-potential markets while maintaining disciplined capital allocation.
Across its operations in 15 countries, Airtel added 14.9 million customers during the quarter, taking its consolidated customer base to approximately 681 million. This represented an increase of 12.5% from 605.5 million customers in June 2025.

Network Expansion Continues
Airtel deployed 1,579 towers and 14,540 mobile broadband base stations during the quarter.
Over the previous 12 months, the company added 7,631 towers and deployed 45,171 kilometres of fibre to strengthen the coverage, capacity and resilience of its digital infrastructure.
The company also introduced Postpaid Fast Lane, a service powered by 5G network-slicing technology, as part of its efforts to offer differentiated experiences to premium mobile customers.
Bharti Airtel’s consolidated capital expenditure stood at ₹13,386 crore during the quarter, of which ₹9,698 crore was invested in India.
