Vivek Jetley, appointed CEO of Hexaware Technologies effective 28 October 2026

Vivek Jetley is scheduled to take charge as Chief Executive Officer of Hexaware Technologies on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, beginning a four-year term approved by the company's board. The leadership transition will see Jetley succeed Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan, who is stepping down after 12 years at the helm and will continue as Senior Advisor.

The appointment was originally announced by Hexaware on 2 September 2026, with 28 October designated as the effective date. Ramakarthikeyan, popularly known as Keech, is also scheduled to relinquish his position on the company's board.

Jetley joins Hexaware from EXL, where he served as President and Head of Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences. In its official leadership transition announcement, EXL confirmed that his departure would become effective on 26 October, two days before his scheduled assumption of the Hexaware role.

Who Is Vivek Jetley? Career and Leadership Background

Jetley brings more than 25 years of experience spanning management consulting, analytics, enterprise transformation, corporate strategy and artificial intelligence.

He joined EXL in 2006 following its acquisition of Inductis, an analytics consulting firm where he was a partner. During his nearly two-decade association with EXL, he held leadership positions covering corporate strategy, partnerships, acquisitions and analytics.

Before heading EXL's Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses, he served as President and Head of EXL Analytics, overseeing capabilities in advanced analytics, AI services and enterprise data management.

His experience is particularly relevant to Hexaware's insurance and healthcare operations, where industry-specific knowledge and AI-led services are becoming increasingly important.

News4Bharat previously examined Jetley's appointment and its implications for Hexaware's business segments, including the overlap between his EXL responsibilities and Hexaware's healthcare and insurance portfolio.

Hexaware's AI Expansion Sets the Context for the CEO Transition

Jetley assumes the role as Hexaware expands its artificial intelligence capabilities across software engineering, IT operations and enterprise transformation.

On 8 October 2026, the company announced a multi-year partnership with Anthropic, becoming a Preferred Partner in the Claude Partner Network.

The agreement brings Anthropic's Claude AI technology into Hexaware's Zerovity engineering platform and AgentVerse agent-development and governance platform. According to the company, AgentVerse includes more than 600 pre-built agents, while over 1,100 Hexaware professionals have obtained Claude certification.

These developments provide a clearer picture of the environment Jetley inherits. His responsibilities will extend beyond overseeing existing IT services operations to supporting the commercial expansion of Hexaware's AI-led offerings.

The broader industry is experiencing similar developments. News4Bharat recently reported on HCLTech's partnership with Anthropic to expand enterprise agentic AI and Xebia's OpenAI Select Partner designation, highlighting the growing importance of AI deployment within technology services.

Leadership Continuity and the Road Ahead

Hexaware's succession plan retains Ramakarthikeyan as Senior Advisor, providing continuity during the change in executive leadership.

The company's board-approved transition places Jetley in charge at a time when enterprise customers are evaluating AI services for measurable operational improvements rather than experimentation alone.

For Hexaware, the next phase will be shaped by its ability to convert AI partnerships, established enterprise relationships and sector expertise into sustained business growth. The company's subsequent financial disclosures will offer an opportunity to assess progress under its new leadership.
