RBI Allots ₹1.5 Lakh Crore via VRR Auction as Liquidity Deficit Widens
Banks submitted bids exceeding the notified amount by 24.4% as festive season cash withdrawals and tax outflows drained banking system liquidity. The RBI allotted ₹1,50,007 crore at a 5.55% cut-off rate to stabilize the interbank money market.
