What Is Meja Stage-II?
Meja Stage-II is the second phase expansion of the existing Meja Thermal Power Project in Prayagraj.
The first phase, Meja Stage-I, already has two units of 660 MW each, giving it an operational capacity of 1,320 MW. The second phase will add three larger units of 800 MW each, taking the total planned expansion much higher and making Meja one of the important thermal power hubs in Uttar Pradesh.
The new units are expected to be based on modern thermal technology.
