Kerala Election Results 2026 Live: UDF Storms Ahead, Congress Scores Big Wins in Palakkad, Thrithala and Ernakulam

Kerala Assembly elections counting began today around 8 AM, with early trends showing a strong lead for the Congress-led United Democratic Front. The ruling Left Democratic Front is trailing behind in several major seats, while Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is behind in his home seat, Dharmadam.

Voting for the 140-member Kerala Assembly was held in a single phase on April 9.

This election is being closely watched as Kerala is the only state currently ruled by the Left. The result will decide whether the LDF gets another term or the UDF returns to power. The NDA, led by the BJP, is also trying to expand its presence in the state.

Exit polls had predicted a strong performance for the UDF, and early trends appear to be moving in that direction.
