“I left nearly 12 questions blank in Paper 2, and somehow I still think I can crack IIT,” said a JEE Advanced 2026 aspirant after one of the toughest exam days of his life.

For many students, the exam was less about solving questions and more about surviving the emotional pressure of the day. The morning began with nervous confidence outside exam centres, with students revising formulas and discussing expected difficulty levels. But that confidence quickly disappeared during Paper 1. Many described Physics as lengthy, Mathematics as calculation-heavy, and the overall paper as mentally draining.
