IT giant Infosys has announced that it will acquire Optimum Healthcare IT, a well-known healthcare digital transformation and consulting firm. The deal marks a significant step in Infosys’ strategy to expand its presence in the global healthcare technology space.

Optimum Healthcare IT is recognised for helping healthcare providers carry out large-scale digital transformation. With this acquisition, Infosys aims to deepen its collaboration with hospitals and healthcare systems, delivering better outcomes in complex clinical and operational environments.

The move will also enhance Infosys’ capabilities in the provider segment by adding new clients, expanding technology expertise, and opening up new business opportunities. After the acquisition, clients of Optimum Healthcare IT will gain access to Infosys’ advanced services, including its AI platform Infosys Topaz, Cobalt cloud solutions, cybersecurity, infrastructure services, and application transformation.

Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said the acquisition will help create a strong value proposition by combining Optimum’s domain expertise with Infosys’ digital and cloud capabilities. He added that the partnership will accelerate end-to-end digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

Optimum Healthcare IT CEO and Co-founder Gene Scheurer said the company has always focused on execution and quality, and with Infosys’ global scale, it is now better positioned to drive AI-led growth and expand its offerings.

Infosys Healthcare Head Venky Ananth noted that Optimum brings strong expertise in health record systems, advisory, and implementation services. He said the combined strengths of both companies will help improve patient care through data-driven and personalised solutions, while also boosting efficiency and reducing costs.

Optimum President Jason Mabry said the partnership will strengthen their leadership in healthcare IT while maintaining the same team, client focus, and service quality.

The deal is being advised by investment bank Harris Williams and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of FY2027, subject to regulatory approvals.

As of now, no financial details of the deal have been officially disclosed. Industry experts believe the acquisition aligns with Infosys’ broader push into AI, cloud, and healthcare digital services, a sector witnessing rapid global growth.
