Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has quietly updated the Innova Crysta for model year 2026 (MY26), introducing new features, interior tweaks, and revised exterior styling — while also hiking prices across all variants by up to Rs 65,000.
The 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta price now starts at Rs 19.72 lakh and goes up to Rs 26.63 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the more significant mid-cycle refreshes the second-generation Innova Crysta has received since its relaunch.
The Innova continues to be available in two generations in India simultaneously — the second-gen Innova Crysta with a diesel engine, and the third-gen Innova Hycross with a petrol-hybrid powertrain. The MY26 update applies specifically to the Crysta.
2026 Toyota Innova Crysta Price: Variant-Wise Old vs New
Toyota has raised prices across all four variant grades of the Innova Crysta. Here is the complete old vs new price breakdown:

Buyers opting for the Platinum White Pearl colour will have to pay a Rs 14,000 premium over the standard price, as was the case before the MY26 update.
Experts POV
The Crysta was formally launched by Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor. During the launch he mentioned that, "Ever since its launch in India, the Innova has maintained its No. 1 positioning in its segment. Often referred to as a segment creator and better known as synonymous with MPVs in India, the Toyota Innova is one such iconic brand which is not just the pride of Toyota but the pride of over 6 lakh owners of Innova in India."
N. Raja, Director and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TKM, also added: "After 11 years of being India's No. 1 MPV in the country, it is indeed a proud moment for all of us at Toyota to bring to you the all-new Innova Crysta. It's undoubtedly the most awaited launch in India and we are thankful to our loyal customers for their persistent support and trust in the brand Innova."

What's New in the 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta MY26 Update
Exterior Changes
Toyota has made targeted design updates to the front and rear of the Crysta without altering its overall silhouette. The MY26 Innova Crysta gets:
- New garnish on the front and rear bumpers for a fresher, more contemporary look
- Revised chrome slabs in the front grille, giving it a slightly more premium appearance compared to the outgoing version
These are cosmetic refinements rather than a full redesign — the Crysta's signature bold grille and projector headlamp setup remain unchanged.
Interior Changes
The cabin sees more notable changes than the exterior. The 2026 Innova Crysta interior now features:
- Faux wood inserts on the dashboard and door pads
- Bronze-finish surrounds for AC vents on either side of the touchscreen, in the centre console, on the steering wheel, and around the power window switches on all four doors
- Dual-tone black and tan seat upholstery for a more premium, layered cabin feel
The dual-tone interior treatment across both 7-seater (with captain seats in the second row) and 8-seater configurations gives the cabin a noticeably warmer, more upscale feel than the pre-update version.

Innova Crysta Interior: Cabin Features and Comfort
The Innova Crysta cabin is the area that drew the most attention at launch. It is not an incremental improvement over the outgoing model — the materials, technology, and comfort features place it in a different class entirely.
Seating and Comfort
- Premium leather seats in Camel Tan or Perforated Black, with "CRYSTA" stitched on headrests — the old Innova used plain fabric throughout
- 8-way power-adjustable driver seat on ZX variants
- Foldable seatback table with cup holder for second-row passengers
- One-touch tumble second row for easy third-row access
- Easy-slide front passenger seat — adjusts rear legroom without the front passenger having to get up
- Ambient blue mood lighting throughout the cabin — not available on the old Innova
- Wood-finish interior panels and leather-wrapped steering wheel with silver and wood-finish inserts
- Upper glove box with cooling function — the old Innova had a standard uncooled glovebox
Innova Crysta Rivals in 2026
The Innova Crysta occupies a specific position in the Indian MPV market — more affordable than the Innova Hycross, but positioned above mass-market MPVs. Its key rivals include:
- Toyota Innova Hycross (Rs 18.70 – 31.84 lakh) — sibling model with petrol-hybrid engine and automatic gearbox
- Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (Rs 8.80 – 12.94 lakh) — more affordable, smaller MPV
- Maruti Suzuki XL6 — premium version of the Ertiga
- Toyota Rumion (Rs 9.55 – 13.86 lakh) — Toyota's own rebadged Ertiga
- Kia Carens (Rs 11.02 – 12.88 lakh) — feature-rich compact MPV
Innova Crysta Safety Features: 7 Airbags Standard on VX and ZX
Safety is where the Innova Crysta makes the clearest statement over every competing MPV in India at this price point.
Standard Safety Features Across All Variants
- ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
- EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution)
- Brake Assist
- Vehicle Stability Control
- Hill Start Assist
7 SRS Airbags on VX and ZX Variants
- Driver airbag
- Front passenger airbag
- Driver knee airbag
- Two front side airbags
- Two curtain shield airbags (full-length side coverage)
The old Innova offered two airbags as standard across most variants, and Vehicle Stability Control was not universally available. The Crysta raises the safety bar significantly — particularly the 7-airbag setup on VX and ZX, which was rare in this segment in 2016.
Additional safety hardware on VX and ZX:
- GOA Body Structure — Toyota's proprietary high-strength build that absorbs and redirects crash energy away from occupants
- Front Clearance Sonar with in-dash display for parking assistance

News4Bharat POV
The Toyota Innova Crysta arrives in India as a genuine generation leap — not a refresh. With two diesel engine options, a class-first 6-speed automatic, 7 airbags on upper variants, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a premium leather interior, it sets a new standard for MPVs in India under Rs. 21 lakh.
For buyers considering the Innova Crysta vs Marazzo, Hexa, or Ertiga at this price point, the combination of Toyota's reliability record, the new automatic gearbox, and the expanded safety package makes a compelling case. The VX diesel manual offers the best balance of features and value; the ZX automatic is the outright best-equipped 7-seater MPV available in India at its price in 2016.
